TIG Welding Cups on Pipe Joining

We see many visuals of weld arts daily on internet. Making the weld cups is a really great skill to give an elegant look to a weld. TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas process is one best method that helps to make your weld stylish in appearance. Because in this process, a metallic rod is fed with one hand while holding the torch in another hand and thus manipulation by both hands can make beautiful cups in the weldment.

Many students make eye catching modals during their schooling. Although TIG is a difficult process to operate but it has many advantageous features over the other types of arc welding processes. The above picture shows the circumferential welding on pipe joint and you can see, the color of weldment is quite different as compared to parent metal. This color appearance in weld metal is referred to as post weld color which can vary from location to location in the weldment.

This technique is being used to produce huge circumferential welds in welding industries worldwide. There is always a need of qualified manpower to work in welding fabrication. Also there are several schools which have been working to educate welding students with special advance courses.

Since the arc welding always has been a successful method to fabricate huge pressure and structural items. All types including MIG (Metal inert gas), FCAW (flux core arc welding, SAW(submerged arc), SMAW (shield metal arc) and TIG have their own advantages and downsides. All these processes are being utilized to produce above mentioned items and jobs.
